Jessica Albrecht is an accomplished cellist and teacher who approaches every endeavor with artistry and passion. Hailing from Ellicott City, Maryland, she has spent the last three years living in Wyoming and Colorado where she was a member of the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra, Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra, and Assistant Principal Cello of the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra. Jessica graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from the University of Maryland at College Park, where she studied with National Symphony Orchestra cellist David Teie. She received her Master of Music at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University where she studied with former New York Philharmonic associate principal cellist Alan Stepansky.
Jessica has a passion for teaching and has over nine years of teaching experience. In addition to serving as Adjunct Faculty at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming, she has previously taught at Laramie County School District #1, Off the Hook Arts Chamber Music Academy in Fort Collins, Colorado, Music & Arts, the Waldorf School of Baltimore, and Bishop McNamara High School in Forestville, Maryland among others. Jessica embraces students of all ages and levels with dedication and joy. She believes that every student has their own unique needs and enjoys discovering them in order to better achieve their goals. Jessica’s passion lies in helping others and being able to give back to the community through the joy of music and the feeling of self-confidence that learning a new instrument can bring.
